This morning all the children and adults gathered together to make an enormous pan of squash soup. Using the squashes that were harvested yesterday, potatoes, onions, vegetable stock, milk and butter, we saw how to make it all into soup. The soup then simmered over a very low heat for most of today so that it will be ready to eat tomorrow.
Over the past weeks we have learnt where milk comes from, how butter is made (even having a go ourselves), grown our own squashes, and seen potatoes and onions pulled from the ground during our allotment visit. Tomorrow we will get to taste the result of all our hard work, log into our page to see if we enjoyed it!
